John and Bobbi Robinson are the co-founders of Unity, A Journey of Hope. They have built a strong foundation from their Southwestern Pennsylvania roots and have grown their Non-Profit Organization to grant over 100 wishes to date.

Unity, A Journey of Hope was created in the spring of 2007 and has since become a non-profit, tax-exempt, public charity. Unity, A Journey of hope presently services Southwestern Pennsylvania, the greater Pittsburgh and the surrounding tri-state area. 

John is a Registered Nurse specializing in Hospice Care. In 2007 Bobbi and John decided to create a non-profit that granted wishes not only to John's patients but they extended their hands to the surrounding community in order to grant wishes. 

This endeavour has proven to be a true blessing to the Robinson’s. John's hospice work was a stepping stone to what is now named “Unity, A Journey of Hope.” Granting wishes to adults with life-limiting illnesses. Unity from its humble beginnings has grown into a national wish-granting organization.

Their hands have indeed stretched far beyond their local community granting wishes in Houston Texas, Denver Colorado, New Jersey, and Chicago Illinois as well as the greater Pittsburgh area. Unity has “Operation Christmas Wish” where Unity gives the spirit of Christmas to families, whose parent has a life-limiting illness and cannot afford Christmas. Unity also “Adopts a Veteran” each year to say “Thanks for your service.” 

Unity also leases out Durable Medical Equipment to people who may fall through the cracks and have needs that insurance can’t help with.

Since 2007 Unity has been “Changing lives, one wish at a time…” for adults 18 years of age and older with life-limiting illnesses.
